Hey, Hot Shot! 2008
Recently, I think...okay actually it was July 9th, Jen Beckman (of Jen Beckman Gallery in NYC) posted the winners of her "Hey, Hot Shot!" competition. You can see it here. I'm curious what you think: Is this the best of contemporary photography, etc? I like Derek Henderson's image enough, although I'm a little bored of the convergance of the "snapshot or massive staged production that looks like a snapshot?" aesthetic myself. 
I find Roc Herms Pont's image to be dull, pedestrian, or far too self-referentially clever.
